- Awareness Programme (December 2023)
Organised at Vivekananda College, Madhyamgram. Students of different streams participated along with their teachers. Ms. Madhuparna Ghosh facilitated the session in participatory mode, covering domestic violence, sexual harassment at the workplace, and the Indian Constitution — its Fundamental Rights and Duties — using video clippings and day-to-day examples, and explained the complaint mechanisms for domestic violence and sexual harassment cases.
- Advocate Training on POCSO Act with DLSA, North 24 Parganas (6th February 2024)
A training session at the ADR Hall, DLSA, Barasat attended by 65 advocates, conducted by Ex-Justice Dr. Shyamal Gupta. The session provided valuable insights into the legal provisions, implementation and nuances of the POCSO Act, emphasizing its role in protecting children from sexual offenses.
- Awareness Program with AMAN Network
On prevention of child marriage and domestic violence against women and children, at Dariala Madhyamik Vidyalay, Dariala Village, North 24 Parganas. Guardians, gram panchayat representatives, local police, teachers and para-legal volunteers of DLSA North 24 Parganas attended. Smt. Swati Chatterjee discussed the impact of child marriage; Adv. Abhijit Dutta explained why domestic violence is a violation of women's rights; preventive strategies were discussed with network member Ms. Seema Sreeniwas.
